There has always been a real lack of oceanfront bars along the Grand Strand. You would think there would be a ton of them dotting the beaches as they are often to most requested type of places amongst tourists. North Myrtle Beach has been notorious for having very few oceanfront options as much of the beach front has small privately owned condo complexes. Well The Castaway Inn, a small hotel in North Myrtle has decided to change this with the addition of an oceanfront and poolside bar that has undergone a really nice renovation. Not many people know about Castaway Beach Bar so there are a lot of locals whenever you go there and there are some very good prices considering you are on the ocean. The drinks are mainly 50 cents off and there are no food specials as of now, but it is all still very good stuff with the Philly Cheese Steak being one of the favorites. If you are looking for an oceanfront bar that not too many people know about with good food and cheap drinks then stop in at the Castaway Beach Bar & Grill.
