I had known about the Chester Street Bar & Grill and AJ's Sports Bar, but never went into those places since their location looked like an old house. Well I had heard from a friend that when it became the Animal House Brew & Chew that there would be nothing to worry about, I figured I'd go in for a review. The new owners are from Maine and just moved down to start their own bar. Since this places is tucked away on Chester St I see it being mainly a locals haunt and having low prices sure doesn't hurt either. It is a place that usually picks up much much much later in the night and has been known to stay open until the wee hours of the morning. The menu is very small and only consists of about 6 things, so don't expect a fine dining experience. The drink prices are good, with the $1 draft being the best deal of the bunch. If you want a nice new locals spot in the downtown area the Spring Break Bar & Grill is a great place to get some cheap food and a drink.
