Review

The Forestbrook area had been lacking any place to go to if some just wanted a cold brew and a quick bite to eat. The Basement which is in a strip mall along Belle Terre Blvd has already filled that need amongst a bunch of Forestbrook locals. The place is non-smoking which has received plenty of positive reviews as had the good prices. The Happy Hour is small, but you can find domestics and house liquors for only 2 bucks. There is a nice selection of craft and import bottles with over 40 to choose from if you are looking to try something new. The Basement has proven owners (formerly of Shamrocks) that know how to properly run a successful locals bar. If you live in the Forestbrook or River Oaks area or if you are jammed up in the normal 501 traffic and want a nice little bar to stop in at then The Basement is one of the best and newest options you can find.
