During the offseason you can certainly find some locals favorites that are a little bit hidden. Buckets Bar & Grill in the Forest Dunes Resort would be one of those places as it is know by many in that section of the beach as one of their favorites. Buckets is a smaller sized bar and of course has its bigger crowds in the warmer months, but unlike so many other hotel bars, they attract a good number of semi-regulars as well including a group of the lifeguards in the area. The menu isn't fairly big and comes at a good price considering that it is a hotel bar and all. The Happy Hour specials are 25% off on the already cheap app prices and some low prices on domestic beers as well. While Buckets Bar & Grill is not beachfront it will give you a great ocean view and is one of the cheaper hotel bars you will find along the Grand Strand.
