If you grew up in South Carolina you should be familiar with California Dreaming as there several locations spread out throughout the south. I have been to both Grand Strand locations and they have identical Happy Hours so I did not feel the need to do two separate reviews. California Dreaming has very good Happy Hour with decent deals on their drinks, with most coming in at or near half off. If you've already been to a California Dreaming you already know the food is very good, but a bit on the expensive side. The atmosphere suffers as well because this is a restaurant first and foremost with the bar being an afterthought at times, so it is not exactly a locals hangout. The food is very good with the salads winning awards year after year. California Dreaming is worth going to for Happy Hour, mainly in the case of the place being packed and you want to wait for a table and get a quick cheap drink.
