Review

The Myrtle Beach area had always been lacking restaurants that were modern and forward thinking. That is not to say that there was not any very good restaurants, there was just a lack of variety. The Bond Fire Restaurant group is looking to change that though when it first opened Art Burger Sushi in late 2014 and now with its sister restaurant The Chemist - Craft Cocktails & Modern Cuisine. The Chemist has a very unique design and as the name states much of the decor is based off of a chemistry lab. The food here is top notch and while the use of molecular gastronomy is cool and new to the area, the food itself is all extremely good. The bar offers a rotating16 tap system and also includes 3 mixed drinks or "draft cocktails" which you can get for just $2 in shot form at Happy Hour. The only other Happy Hour special for now is a pretty good one as you can get any draft for half off. The Chemist is already receiving really good reviews as many people are enjoying a new and cool concept that Myrtle Beach had been lacking in the past.
