I had been intrigued with the Coastal Wine Boutique for quite some time because I am the furthest thing from being a wine connoisseur, but from what i had seen in pictures the place looked pretty cool. I then found out there was a Happy Hour so I knew I had to go check out the Myrtle Beach location. There is another location in Pawleys Island that has all the same specials except for it not having liquor. the Myrtle Beach location almost serves a hidden getaway from the very busy touristy area around 21st Ave N and Ocean Blvd. The wine selection as you might expect is extensive and even if you do not want wine there is a solid craft beer selection and the house liquor is not the typical stuff you see at most places. There are no Happy Hour specials on food, but there is a menu of small plates and breads and cheese you can get to go with your wine. The hookahs seemed to be popular as there is a variety of flavors which can also get at a discounted rate at Happy Hour. Coastal Wine Boutique also is one of the few places that does not have a TV in it, so you have to converse with other people for entertainment. (what a novel concept!) I may never be turned into a great lover of wine, but the Coastal Wine Boutique is  a place I would go to again if I just wanted to relax and get a different experience in the Myrtle Beach or Pawleys area.
