I have never been into the shag dancing scene in North Myrtle Beach along Main Street since I have moved here so I had never been into any of the notorious "shag clubs". I was doing these places a great disservice though since most had been around for decades and had always provided a Happy Hour. One such place is Duck's Main Street Bar & Grille which is adjacent to the much larger Ducks Beach Club which opens around 7:30pm. The bar & grille side is smaller, but also has a dance floor which can also be used for other activities such as cornhole. The prices are all very good and there is usually a really inexpensive food special you can get if you are hungry for a full hearty meal. The Happy Hour is decent and runs every day except during special events. The shag scene may not be my thing, but that does not make it any less popular and Duck's is a great bar if you want to check things out or just want the more relaxed vibe before the party begins.
