Fatz Eatz & Drinkz is a restaurant chain that originated in Spartanburg, SC and mainly has its locations in smaller cities and towns in the south. I'd been to the location in Conway many times before for lunch since its relatively close to my work. I've always thought it was pretty good, but never thought of it as a Happy Hour spot. That was until I got a request to get a review of Fatz, so I obliged and checked out what they had. They have a nice bar, but they could stand to get an updated TV behind the bar. The specials are a bit different in that 16oz beers are the Happy Hour special, but they only offer 12 and 23oz beers during regular hours. The food specials are good and I was surprised to see that Fatz, which is known for its Calabash style is one of the very few places with grilled calamari. Overall, the lack of other drink specials hurts the score of Fatz a bit, but otherwise it provides another good option in Conway.
