Review

I found Fire & Smoke Gastropub one of the harder places to rate for this site because there are several different ways of looking at it. On one hand Fire & Smoke has gotten some rave reviews for their food since they have opened as the common consensus is that it is unlike any other along the Grand Strand and more akin to a place in Charleston. I cannot disagree as everything there that I have had has been excellent including the crab croquttes and the pork belly to name a few. The beer selection is plentiful with 10 taps that will have 10 rotating craft beers along with a decent sized bottle list. On the other hand this is a Happy Hour site and there are no food specials and only a handful of drink specials. It is more of a restaurant than anything else as well as the bar area is small and can tend to fill up quickly. Fire & Smoke Gastropub is ideally more for a date night type of place where you can get some awesome food and try some craft brews than it is a local hangout bar. It may not have the best Happy Hour, but you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't stop by and eat there sometime.
