I'm glad to say that I never went to the Dirty Donkey as I hear it was pretty shady, but since that place has closed the Garden City Beach Bar & Grill opened up in its place. Luckily, they have cleaned the place up a bit and have created a nice option close to the beach on Atlantic Ave. Their Happy Hour seems to be lacking a bit with no specials on beer, but their already low prices do make up for that fact. If you're a liquor drinker, you'll be in luck with $2 house liquor and a buck off any other liquor you may want. The food menu doesn't really stick out with anything unique, but is all very well priced with nothing over $7.75 except the steak dinner. Not too many new places open up in Garden City, so despite it's uncreative name The Garden City Beach Bar & Grill is a quality new spot to enjoy on the south end.
