Review

The Grumpy Monk is a restaurant/bar in the Carolina Forest area that is capitalizing on the craft beer craze. It is a very large location that has a big bar area, sushi bar, dining room, patio, and even a game room. Many other restaurants have failed in the past at the location with one of the reasons being that it is a pain to get to in the spring and summer months when the traffic is very busy. It is well worth the wait to give the Grumpy Monk a try though since the food is very good and as you can tell the beer selection is one of the best around town. The Happy Hour is expansive with plenty of sushi options along with a food menu where the smoked wings really shine. Drink specials include a dollar off most beers and alcohols along with daily specials that  include pint nights on Wednesdays. The Grumpy Monk should be able to shine where other places have failed since it is very solid in so many aspects.
