I tried to get a review of Longhorn Steakhouse way back in 2005 when I first created the website, but there was no review to be had since the large steakhouse chain did not have a Happy Hour. It took 9 long years since then for Longhorn to finally jump on the Happy Hour bandwagon nationwide with its new offerings. There is a small Happy Hour food menu with smaller portioned apps which a relief considering the giant sized portions you can receive at Longhorn. The pints, house wine and a list of specialty drinks are discounted at Happy Hour as well. The North Myrtle Beach is the newest location and it looks great inside, but Longhorn is a restaurant first and foremost and while they do have a really cool bar, it serves mainly as a waiting area for people to get tables on busy nights. It almost took a decade, but I was glad to see Longhorn Steakhouse now has a Happy Hour nationwide. It may not be the best, but I applaud the effort for finally giving a little bit of a discount for those people who want to get a drink or a bite before dinner.
