The Grand Strand is not without plenty of solid Italian restaurants to choose from. One of the better ones is Luigi's Trattoria in Myrtle Beach which is a little bit hidden since it is not right on Kings Hwy. Luigi's has gone through a couple of owners throughout the years, but has stabilized with its current owner. The bar area is on the small side, so getting a seat may be a chore especially during peak season. If you can get a seat though, there are some great specials to choose from. Almost all liquors are close to half off and there are also $5 martinis. All of the apps are $5 as well meaning you can get some really good food and a stiff drink for a really good price. If you want to bypass Happy Hour and check out the regular menu, then Luigi's is a safe bet too as many of the traditional Italian specialties are very reasonably priced.
