Review

For What It's Worth was one of my favorite bars in Myrtle Beach, but it really lacked consistency to make it be one of my top spots along the Grand Strand. With FWIW selling to new owners and renaming it Hurricane Maggie's Bar & Grill, they look to bring some of that consistency that the former place was lacking. Hurricane Maggie's wins me right off the bat by the sheer selection that is provided during Happy Hour. Almost all liquors and bottles are $1 off while the same can be said for the whole revamped menu. The good food already comes at a good price, so the discount is even better. If you have yet to go to the building Hurricane Maggie's is in, it is a two level bar with the downstairs providing more of city type feel with its long and narrow design. The upstairs is laid back with pool tables and also has a bar that will serve when the peak season arrives. There are plenty of craft beers to choose from that are usually rotating on tap and in bottles. While the name Hurricane Maggie's may make it seem like it is tropical or island themed it is far from it and is worth stopping by the next time you are in the north section of Myrtle Beach.
