Ever since I created my Twitter account in 2010 I've had numerous types of followers and among them are the many establishments along the Grand Strand. Mako's Oceanfront Bar & Grill has been following me for quite some time now, but I still had not gone to get a review. I came across a summer day where it wasn't going to be too sweltering, so I figured it would be as good of a time as any to go. Mako's is located in The Reef Resort on the south end of Myrtle, and not to be confused with the several other resorts with the term "reef" in it. Mako's has an interesting setup with a long skinny inside dining area and a very small bar area on the outside. There is a deck that overlooks the pool area and has a great view of the beach and ocean that would be about on the 3rd floor. The menu is diverse with a selection of burgers, pizzas, wraps, quesadillas, etc and a few appetizer specials for Happy Hour. The drink specials and selection are ok, the lack of discounts on a high house liquor price and be seen as a detriment. There aren't many hotel bars along the south end of Myrtle Beach, so it is good to see that Mako's Oceanfront Bar is pretty good bar with an awesome view.
