The Grand Strand is a haven for chains and it was only a matter of time before a Mellow Mushroom made its way into Myrtle Beach. Mellow Mushroom is not a national chain as it is mostly relegated to the southern US. I did not know anything about them originally, so I was surprised to find out they had a bar and that they had quite the large selection of drafts as well. There are a wide array of bottles and craft beers, making this one of the top places to go for beer selection. The food is all very good, as I have eaten there a few times now and have came away happy every time with their pizzas. The recently have added a few items on their Happy Hour menu for 4 bucks a piece which is nice. The drink special is pretty good with select drafts at $3 and in addition there are some good daily specials. Some of you may already know all about Mellow Mushrooms, but if you are new to the area and looking for a good pizza and plenty of beer choices, I'd give the Mellow Mushroom a try.
