There are some bars along the Grand Strand that flourish soley based on their location. The Parrot is one of those bars as it is close enough to all the hotels and the ocean that it does a pretty good business. The Parrot is a pretty small bar with no frills really with anything about it. They have three basic draft beers that come in a 12oz plastic cup, and a menu with your basic bar food on it. The Happy Hour is essentially 50 cents off on all beer and liquor with a little bit better of a discount on the draft. The Parrot is a good enough bar, it serves its purpose as a hole in the wall for locals in the downtown area and for tourists alike and for that reason alone, you may want to stop by.
