Review

The Star Tavern in Little River is a live music venue that replaces Rubi's & before that Papis Texican Grill. Changing themes from a tex/mex restaurant to a laid back bar with live music nightly that serves up Southern comfort food was a move in the right direction. Locals & tourists alike have already checked out the Star Tavern with its live bands that start up at 6:30pm on weekdays and & 8pm on weekends. The Happy Hour drink specials are good with the best deal being the daily drink special at $3. One unique feature to the Star Tavern is that it skips the regular touch tunes jukebox and instead is still spinning vinyl records with a lot of the old classics. Little River was in need of a new locals bar and Star Tavern fills that void with some really affordable prices, good food, and some live entertainment.
