Sugami Is one of quite a few Japanese steakhouses/sushi places along the Grand Strand and is a place I had planned on reviewing for a while now. There is not a ton to say about Sugami as it is a small place, with a very small bar area of only about 6 or 7 seats. The food is above average, but nothing too spectacular. The Happy Hour is highlighted by the 2 dollar house vodka and domestic bottles, with those deals being all day on Wednesdays and Fridays. The lack of draft beers and no specials on all house liquors is a bit of a downer, but one major plus about Sugami is that the waitstaff and bartenders are very easy on the eyes. Sugami gets quite packed later on in the evening so it seems like it excels as being more of a late night place rather than an ideal stop for Happy Hour.
