The Tavrne in downtown Myrtle Beach is a very solid locals bar for when you are looking for a place off the beaten path It is a vast improvement over Marti's, Rocco's Local 531, and Locals Only, which were the previous 3 bars at this location. It has really cleaned the place up and have made a good bar for mostly locals since many tourists do not venture onto Broadway St. The Tavnre has a solid overall Happy Hour with the addition of some very good daily specials. The new owners have also implemented a new menu with a wider selection. The $1.50 Bud Light at Happy Hour is a definite plus for me, as are the cheap Happy Hour prices on house liquor. The Tavrne is great little bar that you have to check out, especially if you are a fan of local bars and want to venture away from the tourist traps.
