The area around CCU can be tough on businesses because it can be a very fickle crowd. A business needs to have a good mix of who they cater to. There are the students which will provide a good base when class is in session, but when they are gone you still need the locals that work in Conway or the nearby hospital to come in as well. This is something the N'Zone and Chantz could not do in the location where Tongy's Shmackhouse is now. It seems as if Tongys has found that right mix since it has opened. It is a very popular late night college bar when the CCU students are around and it has found a strong local following because the prices are all cheap and the food is really good. It is not the typical bar food as they try to put a twist on the usual favorites. All burgers, sandwiches, and wraps are $5-$6 at Happy Hour along with some cheap drink specials giving more than enough reason to try out Tongy's Shmackhouse.
